The Cricket Club are delighted to announce that they have secured a grant of £5,000 from The Coalfield Regeneration Trust to assist in the completion of the pavilion alterations.
Last winter saw a lot of work at the ground courtesy of the Olympic Legacy and Sport Relief Grants with the tea room/bar extension, new garage and electronic scoreboard. Further alterations to the 'other end' of the Pavilion will see the ladies toilet area being upgraded to incorporate a shower and changing area exclusively for females, all in time for the new season.
Chairman, Derek Pickering said, "This is great news and we are very grateful for the CRT grant. We are now able to complete the upgrade to the Pavilion in readiness for the 2015 season. No longer will females playing in mens cricket have to turn up at the ground changed and have nowhere to 'freshen up' afterwards"
