The Sunday XI made the trip to Newark a fruitful one with a comfortable victory over Ransome & Marles.
Apart from Newark's opening bat, who scored 66, none of the remaining batsman troubled the scorers unduly. With wickets falling at regular intervals (Jake Lowe 3-15, James Cairney 2-18 & Brinsley Kirkham 2-10), Newark were bowled out in the 34th over for 143.
The 'Sunday Run Machine' - Will Peat followed up his recent century with another fine score of 89 and a second wicket partnership of 90 between Will & Brinsley (30*) virtually won the game for Calvo. The runs were eventually knocked off with 6 overs & 6 wickets to spare.
By next week the Sunday XI will be half way through their fixtures and sit proudly at the top of the league.
MOM Will Peat.
